The original owner passed away in early 80s and the car got parked at his kids place. The wife of a friend of mine worked with one of the kids and the car was parked at their house for years. The kids didn’t want to put any money into it  and were not interested in providing a title or paper work to get one and their intent to  sell and my offer to buy were all done through my friends wife as was their acceptance and my payment. I had a phone number for them, but at that time I had thirty other projects and it was a year before I tried to reach them at which time the number had been disconnected.  By then my friends were no longer in touch with them and I was never able to track them down.

We have a finite amount of time (and fossil fuels) on this planet to enjoy these machines how they are meant to be enjoyed, an oval class 11 car will be both parts awesome and upsetting for the purists. I love it. KCW out there having fun while other peoples stuff collects dust!!! Rally car dust! 😈

Keep all us lurkers posted. I am going to brave the cold; meet you in Ely, and then follow to Spencer for your overnite. Since there’s no BBB it will be my winter get-a-way camp trip. If that don’t happen, maybe I could come to KCW and help for a week close to crunch time.

Man spencer hot springs sounds good…   traveling through Utah in a bus right now sounds cold!!!!!

I wanna go racing sooooo bad!   But I feel like all the planets are gonna have to come to perfect alignment for it to happen.

I see them empi guys are building two new cars right now…  I have such a different idea on how I want to go…   but what do I know….   i wanna go light and agile and a good jumper.. not lets ram it into rocks like I did with my old shit…  and it always got me home….

You could do a total restoration on it and then get screwed out of a fair sale price like on the mail bus…..or you can make a race car and have a blast…. or something in between. The point is, it is your car and you get to make the choice. No body else (except your wife) counts at all.
