The guys KICKED it’s ass yesterday…. full cage mock up!!!  Body is back off this morning and Pats welding joints and tops of cage where it is close to the roof…

I need to get to working on the body!!!!!  😎

John painted the whole thing today….One coat of paint, 3 cups of paint total.

Pat did a bunch of welding and gusset planning. Fully welded on the hard to get spots this way.

Templated all of the gussets that we need. Going to have them cut at the local steel shop.

Welded all the main cage joints. 

Fit and tacked in frame horn supports. 

 

We will build it if it comes.

Dude.. yesterday was a DAY!!!   damn I slept like a rock last night!!!!   Audrey and I sanded and sanded until I felt we could spray some white on it.  Audrey also cleaned out my booth and changed my filters and scraped the glass on the lights…. it was nice to have the booth cleaned up… Anyway..  You guys know I am all about saving weight… even on materials!!!!  So… This is JUST single stage paint, straight on bare metal and a little bit of body filler..  ONE EVEN COAT…. I didn’t two coat ANYTHING!!!!  I mixed up 3 sprayable quarts and coated it inside and out!!!!  Silver white… Like bus bumpers and wheels… 😎

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

Cut out a mid mount for this yesterday. Need to grab a trans that has a beetle nose cone to fit and install. 

JJ blasted and hung parts for paint yesterday. 

I also knocked out seat mounts yesterday. 

We will build it if it comes.

Man… what a push…  I feel great!!  But I also feel tired…. 😎   My hands and wrists have been just throbbing at night!!  Holding onto the air tools and shit really toughens up your hands!!!!

I got some parts to paint…   One even coat right!!!  It’s funny doing things this way.. where weight is more important than the surface finish… 😎  The single coat on the car looks WAAAYYY better than you would expect… flat as all get out, crsipy!!

Pat kicked ass on seat mounts and welding shit yesterday… we are making great progress… 😎
