Jesse was here… and handed me a short stack of 100’s…. He’s serious about getting this rig going…
I think I heard talk of Rhythms on the Rio first road trip?? 😎
Pat is all over brakes this morning…. Franz got his engine torn down for mods.. it’s more of a HP motor than a tractor motor… 😎
If the boys stay on your bus all week, I’ll need another stack by the weekend… 😎 😎
I guess we should try our best to get Doug involved with seats??? 😎 I have a perma bed stand in the trailer, and I think an extra mattress if it comes down to it!!!!!
Rhythms on the Rio is a good time!!!! a GREAT road trip.. and lots and lots of people just like us…. 😎John JonesKeymasterJuly 1, 2019 at 11:18 amPost count: 4915
Pats on front brake assy!!!!!! Assembly is happening!Pat KKeymasterJuly 1, 2019 at 4:20 pmPost count: 893
Put is some time over the weekend and today on this.
Started with spindles, both needed new upper bushings, and king pins need a light touch on the lathe up as well.
Turned drums, cleaned and packed hubs and bearings, backing plates and parts all back in place today.
We’ll get soft front break lines ordered so I can put together the rest of the break system.
We will build it if it comes.FranzKeymasterJuly 1, 2019 at 5:21 pmPost count: 2454
Just figured out compression on your engine….It was 9.5 : 1 Way too much for a driver bus. I’m going to add about .070″ of cylinder shims to drop it down to 8 : 1
Also, I looked up your Norris cam. Here is some info. Sounds good for a bus. Similar to a 110 which is what Painters installs in the 1914cc “baby tractor”.
I am going to advance the cam 4 degrees to give it some low RPM grunt. Currently you have 0.RustabusParticipantJuly 1, 2019 at 5:36 pmPost count: 1386
Heh, Franz is Un-racing a motor!!! 😉 🙂WillyModeratorJuly 1, 2019 at 8:31 pmPost count: 740
Still a Franz-built (ish) engine! Hopefully this one requires fewer tune-ups 😉68tintopParticipantJuly 1, 2019 at 9:06 pmPost count: 565
Sweet sounds good guys. Thanks for all the help franz with the motor and pat getting the front end dialed in.😬😜🤪. I called Doug on Sunday and asked him about the upholstery on the seats. I just want grey color. The seats are in the back end of the storage bay window bus. Hoping I can drop them off next w weekend at Doug’s shop
