Is the 2054 a stroker motor how does it work somebody school me on these builds. Any motor can be a stroker just depends on the crank??
Piston diameter and crank stroke. Formula is piston size X piston size X crank size X 0.0031416. So for example a 1914 is a 94mm pistons x 69mm crank. A stock 1600 is 85.5 X 69 I believe, so to get it to a 1914 the cylinders are opened up to accommodate 94mm pistons and a stock crank is used. A 2054 is going to be 94 x 74.
Jesse… whats all this small stroke stuff??? You want an 84×94 motor jesse…. 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
So is a 2054 a stroker motor. The cam is a eagle #2250 I think it’s from cb performance. I looked up some shit on a 2054 baby stroker. Kinda sounds like it would do the trick with dual 44 Webber’s and and A1 exhaust. Unfortantly I am on a budget and dude wants to make a trade. Machine work done at painters. Built in a local Colorado hot rod shop. Prolly gone as a soon as I post this shitt. I Got to get a 2literstroker for my packrattpanel🤪🤪
If your getting a deal Its probably worth it. Should run decent. We’re going to leave you in the dust on road trips with that little thing though…
I like the idea of a new case and 82mm crank. Cry once and have what you really want/need. You still got the rest of the bus to build. We can worry about the engine next spring.
So is a 2054 a stroker motor.
Yes. It is both a “big bore” and “stroker” engine (or “bored and stroked”).
Sometimes anything larger than a stock displacement is referred to as a “stroker,” but technically speaking you can have “big bore” engines that are not “strokers”, and vice versa.
For example the stock stroke on a 1600 engine is 69mm, and the stock bore for the piston size is 85.5mm. A 1914 would technically be a “big bore” engine since its displacement has been increased by boring it out for a larger piston size, but would not be a “stroker” since it retains the stock crank stroke of 69mm. So a 1914 is really a “big bore” 1600.
On the flip side a popular 36hp upgrade is installing the 69.5mm crank and hi-po cam into an otherwise stock engine (stock being 77mm pistons and 64mm crank). It’s technically a “stroker” since it’s displacement has been increased due to the longer crank throw (stroke), but is not a “big bore” since the piston size remains stock.
Sweet thanks Pete. I sounds like a good deal. 2054 with dual Weber’s sep time belt and lightweight pulley for about 2000$😜
Breaking news!!! Jesse killed it, looking good homie.
Thanks Andy it’s a good thing you were there for the pics and good guidance 😜 got the swivel seat banged out with some help from John and his get er done attitude and work ethic. The seats are getting closer and closer. Had a blast and I already miss it should still be welding. By the way I scored that 2054 stroker and I think it’s going to be a great motor for my panel. Thanks Kcw’s for all the help. Woohoo 58 swivel seat DD panel this one is going to be fun😜🤪🤑
Good weekend Jesse!!!! Nice Swivel seat….Thats version 3.0!!!! 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Does it turn all the way around?
Hell yea. It turns all the way The walkthrough is a little skinny but I am not a big guy so I shouldn’t have a problem🤪😜next is too mount the driver seat. Hopefully Friday after work😬
It was fun seeing Jesse all Jacked up about his seat….. 😎 😎 😎 I’m sure the drivers will be done this weekend…. Then I imagine he will be the next guy bugging me about painting his bus….. 😎 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Now i wanna sand the shit out of it. Then yes John I will need nice quickie paint job. Would be awesome to patina this bitch with some custom logos 🤪. Finish the seats and see where I am at I wanna do red or grey material on the seats what do u guys think I got grey door panels.
