damn Jesse, youve got hooks in all the goods !
congrats bro. great find. stoked to see you in silverton
Had a good weekend at Kcw. I tore down my motor for a different fan shroud that has heat option. New tar board and stuck the engine in pluMbed it up. She fired up needs a little KCW fine tuning. I am a virgin to stackin a motor for install I am the tear down guy. I rarely remember how shit goes back together unless I log it in the old brain. I showed my daughter Zoey the bug for the first time tonight she loved it. I fired it up and gave her a ride around the block. I am lucky to have friends like John and franz. Another vw back on the road. Thanks KCW. For all help
I didn’t have time for the decklid or the rear window seal. If your guys can button up those 2 things it can be pushed out back weather proof. Until after the Fourth of July. But if u got time it needs a stock shifter. Throttle sticks idles high like me🤪. Maybe a clutch adjustment shifts int first hard push. I love you guys I couldn’t of fixed this car in my driveway without you. I owe u something not sure what yet. Besides a stack on hundos Thanks bros I will bring party favors for the 4th so those fireworks are unforgettable. SATURDAY ALL OVERAGAIN😜🤪😬
Your welcome Jesse. We’ll tie up the loose ends when there is a chance…hopefully later this week.
Unless you want to spend another weekend on it?
Jesse I wish I knew Sat when you got here that your goal was to drive Zoeys bug! I would have helped a lot more !!! You seemed in no hurry to me… damn… sorry🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪. I can’t read minds yet.. 😁😁😁

Decklid on, license light wired, checked and fixed all the other lights too. The bumper mounts needed new weld nuts, to be able to install the bumper, so I went ahead and did that. Adjusted valves, and tuned the engine. I had to clean the spark plugs and drop the idle jet to a 55. The 1776cc run great. It’s fast!
The brakes seemed to be dragging when I got back from the test drive. Have to look at that before you try to drive it home…and the speedometer cable is on the list of parts to order.
Thanks franz. Awesome she’s a runner’s
great work
