I am surprised we haven’t heard a single peep out of Jason… Maybe a summary of how much it sucked being here for 10 days or so… How dramatic things are at here and how hard it was to get work done.. and how DAMN EXPENSIVE I am….. 😎  😎  😎  😎

Was a blast there and recovering a little from long days and the Holidays back to back and a death in the family on Christmas.

I came home with a lot of work to do and buying the tools to get it done. I need to get the transmission and engine built so I can get everything built properly before I bring it back for paint.

I also have been trying to figure out all of the wiring and other components to put under the floor. I found a nice used Jeep rear bumper with swing out tire carrier that should mount to the original bumper nicely with some minor modification.

I think I am going to use the Lizard Skin with Ceramic for noise reduction and insulation, people have claimed up to 30 degrees cooler in summer on the inside.

Starting to realize I dont think I will have this in Moab in April this year, I dont want to rush this build.

Yeah, you do have a lot of work ahead of you… Just making a bus road-worthy is a ton of work. Plus making it look good, all the custom stuff, and a newborn baby.

Your schedule is full for the next 5 years. haha 🙂

It was Kelli’s Grandma and went very peacefully and pain free. She was 95 and it was great to see her the minute I got back into town. She was the reason Kelli became a nurse.

My plan is to have a driver and everything functional on the outside before May. The interior, roof rack and front and rear winch mounts can be worked this summer.

Thinking of how to do the rear tire carrier/ gas can etc. swing mount on the rear. Thinking of now incorporating the swing mechanism in the bumper in the overrider,  widening the overiders past the taillights so they don’t block them and taking the overrider bar an wrapping it around the side more to the point of the bumper. I think this will look more clean and closer to original  vs bolting a Jeep tire carrier to the bumper like below,  I found one for cheap locally.Garvin-34800-Rear-EXT-Series-Swing-Away-Tire-Carrier-Bumper-System-XJ-Tabletop

Removed the heater log and added a tube to the main heater tube. Pat fixed the ugly hole that the previous owner cut and the gas heater hole.
