You got all the good stuff Jasonโ€ฆ !! I didโ€™t even know about the adjustable beam front shift linkage!! Hey donโ€™t sweat the roof rackโ€ฆ When the Tesla bug is off the frame jig, and we feel like doing it ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž8-)โ€ฆ. We are going to make a hand full of racks all at one timeโ€ฆ You want one, I want one, Iโ€™m sure we could sell 3-4 tooโ€ฆ we should make 5 or moreโ€ฆ Clamps.. we need to figure out clamps.. anyone?? anyone?? link?? CIP!???

Thanks on the rack, Iโ€™m stoked to get one from you guys that is legit! I didnโ€™t know about the rod either until I started searching around, a lot of cool shit in Europe that vendors donโ€™t supply here. Unfortunately shipping suck right now. I know EZCAMER in Florida makes them. Or thinking a different clamp? I know he gives a little discount for multiple qty if you ask. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2437088 9456749

Well you should atleast get 16… ๐Ÿ˜Žย  That would get your rack and one more done.. ๐Ÿ˜Žย  Hell, get 24… ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Sounds good I will add those. Crandon sounds like a blast, I wish I could join you and add in Packers football game while I was out there since its 2 hours away. Shop looks very busy and race prep is always crazy!

Hopefully this Crandon race continues with Class 11 and I can plan a family trip out there in a few years. I will check back in once you guys are back and had a chance to settle.

I have a safari mounting question, after painting the safari frames I need to know what tool to get to mount the slide to the frame so that it looks clean. What do you guys use?

Do you guys remember what degree you set the spring blades on BBOE? I know stock is 20 degrees, I found some pictures in your gallery of the BBOE when you did it, also looks like you ground the stop on the body and off the spring blade.ย 20220819_23333820220819_23350520220819_233530

I think weโ€™ve been setting spring plates to 23 degrees. BBOE maybe a little more 24 or 25.

Yeah, I ground the stops enough to let it go down some more,ย  I think the trans drop’s biggest asset is height with less camber..ย  I bet I had type 1 shocks in the rear back then too…ย  Which are slightly longer than bus?

when’s the Sema show?ย  ย I have never been to sema… People sure rave about it that have been…. ???ย  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Sema is cool to see all the ridiculous rides that are built for it. ย You can also see the shortcuts and shitty work some shops kick out trying to make a name for themselves. ย I enjoyed the tools. Lots of neat products and special Sema week deals. Of course there are celebrities and tv show people everywhere. ย My brother said last years was kind of lame due to Covid. I got to meet Mike Ness at Sema back in November 2015

Check out that shirt! ย I am your largest billboard

SEMA is November 1-4, probably moving the bus in Halloween weekend. Coming super fast.

I was at SEMA almost 20 years ago and didn’t take advantage, I was too easily distracted by the SEMA girls. I hope they are back this year. I agree you get to see shitty work, I won’t cut corners but some items may not get installed such as safari windows.

Back to working 2 full time jobs ๐Ÿ™„ and in the shop until midnight or later every night. Did this many times before for some reason I can do it like I once did, must be getting old.

I need to plan a weekend to come down to the ranch and do rack stuff and a couple more items if you guys can squeeze me in before Halloween. I willย  plan around you guys if you are ableย  to accommodate.

Good news is the brackets and loops have arrived. I can ship them to you if you need them before I get there.20220822_131531

Thanks for the info on the sping plates, I talked to Wayne and he said he set his at 29 degrees ๐Ÿ˜ณ and might go 31 because it started to sag. I went with 26 so hopefully not too crazy.

Is it sold out or something?

    Jason..

i think your gonna want Franz help. ย Heโ€™s built more custom racks than any of us!!โ€™

as hard as it is to work so much, I think it is the best thing for JJ to do daily… ย and I think itโ€™s that way for a lot of us๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

It is not open to the general public. My company may qualify for credentials, I guess Iโ€™d have to check.
