you won’t have any problems at sema… LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL…

This is so true! Several builds are lipstick on pigs, made to look good once and that’s it. I have seen pics and videos of sketchy details if you look closely at some builds.

I hope the SEMA girls are back this year

I’d cut the bumps stops and shock mounts off to start with. The weld a 1/8″ plate over the whole area. I’ll help you with it this summer. We can make it the sickest.

Sweet, I was thinking the same thing. Want me to hold off fully wiring the rear harness?

I would like to do it on the rotisserie but ultimately I need to get it off of it ASAP. Otherwise It seems like it will never come off.

I plan on doing a roof rack/ladder and maybe the front winch mount also while I am out there. A lot to do in a few days.

Yeah leave the rear of the wire harness out if you don’t have it in.

We can do the shock mount work with the transaxle and suspension in place, no problem on the lift.👌and dabble a little paint too.

Looking like I’m not going to make it out quite yet. I need to order a KCW roof rack from you guys, I’m running out of time on this project and need to focus time on some other areas.

I need to get a rack like the BBOE has, that style will give the finishing touches I’m looking for. Is there a reason the corners aren’t rounded? Originally styled like that? Probably plan late August or September to get it. Is this something you guys can help me with?

For the ladder I will need to make it when I’m there or back here as it will run all the wires to the roof rack and not sure how plan to run that shit yet.

I imagine that’s how the racks were.. or someone would have told me about it by now… 😎  Looks like it would be doable… humm…

That rack is awesome!!! 😎  The guy who built the meat and potatoes of my chopper built that rack….. 😎

Yeah, let’s design a rack and make one!!!  We really should just make 3 huh.. 😎  I’m sure I could sell some full length racks.. 😎

Sweet  I would  love to have a KCW built rack on the bus and it fits my theme perfectly! They are heavy duty looking, I was curious on the corners, seems odd to be square off vs round.

I still remember trying  to get you to let me ride your bike home from Roosters.

I bet you would sell them “if you build it they will come”. I could put the word out here and deliver when I come down. Is the bay roof and split roof almost  the same? I know some Bay guys that want a full length rack.

Long post but so stoked to be at this stage on my bus! Finally at assembly, really needed this boost on the project to get me going again. Decided to double wrap my heat tubes to hold as much heat as possible for winter driving. Beam is mounted and working  on the trailing arms.

Enjoying the last few hours of my 30’s. What a great decade! Met great friends, my wife and had the best kid in the world and bought a home! 20220614_222330Had fun with several vws Including my first real full restoration. Some epic trips and concerts, I can only hope the next decade will be as great if not better!

Some of these great memories are the events and hanging with the KCW crew! So glad our paths crossed.
