Not yet, I had great intentions but this happened Saturday. Spent the day in the ER, deep cut with two layers of stitches. He is okay and I realized in the ER this won’t be my last time here with him. 27662151341634 I was productive on taking advantage of the warm weather to install a 40k btu infared heater, this should help keep me warmer and with paint

Holy cow! That’s a good one.

    Be more careful Sawyer.

Figured its time I finally get Otter “Next Year” Overland Bus going on this forum since I have talked about it forever. Just starting the get parts and metal to get this done next year. Hoping for a BBB 2020 debut. Never thought I would be a split bus owner but this group and a few other individuals changed that. Below are the pictures from the day I picked it up in Moab in Fall of 2017. They were just as excited, maybe even more excited. IMG_20171104_115603086_HDR IMG_20171104_135401890_HDR

I am surprised we didn’t get questioned. Probably because it was the first offense.

Wow thanks for the reminder on the day I picked the bus up, I was just talking about this yesterday. April is 4 months away 😳, I am in the garage every night now and long weekends. I need to clone myself to do my day to day job and I can hang in the garage.

Once I get past building this bench/bed and lay out electronics it should start moving more quickly.

Scars are cool Sawyer…keep charging bud!!!

You going solar also?… One of those fancy solar generator setups wold be cool. Make your panels quick release so you can park in the shade and still charge your bank.

Looks like your gonna need it bro…👍👍😎

Yes scars make you tough, after watching him (a mini version of me) be a boy and bounce, jump etc. I don’t know how I didn’t  break more bones, have more scars etc.

Solar will be on top, probably  a 100w panel that will be able to tilt. Might make a connection that I can add a portable panel to move around if needed.  Between the solar and a 90 amp alternator I hope it keeps them batteries topped off.

My time off between Christmas and New Years was a total bust. Family  and I were sick and the shop needed more work for condensation control and lights burning out. Super bummed  and have lost some motivation, I swear it’s destiny for me to not get this bus done. Here is the shop with insulation now.20220103_105702

I was able  to get about  a quarter what I had hoped accomplished. Started the interior since I have so many electronics to figure out. Sanded it down, I realized that I hate sanding. Getting ready to POR15 some areas, prime then Lizard skin the roof and Raptor line the floors. I was hoping  to have all this done by today. 20220103_10572820220103_105736

I did find this trick for opening those headliner tabs that are a pain to open.

Still have more sanding to do then all the prep work to paint. I seriously  contemplated repainting the whole interior to make it easier. I feel.like keeping  the originality takes longer than just blasting and painting a vehicle. I keep telling myself just keep putting one foot in front of the other and the finish line will come.

One project at a time… and finish it…

I can’t even imagine the harassment that will be poured out in 55 gallon drums if you don’t DRIVE this finished bus to the APril campout…. 😎 😎 😎 😎
