Finished pass side yesterday evening. Added the second layer to reinforce the bolt hole area and dressed welds.
Also got started on the drivers side.
We will build it if it comes.JbParticipantJanuary 16, 2019 at 10:19 amPost count: 544
Lookin good homie! I’ve had to do a bunch of those rear body mounts last little while….they a pain in ass!!RustabusParticipantJanuary 16, 2019 at 8:36 pmPost count: 1698
Stoked for ya!!!!! Keep it up!!!!! 🙂 🙂Pat KKeymasterJanuary 17, 2019 at 9:01 amPost count: 1126
Spent some time on this yesterday. Body mount was in the wrong spot on the aftermarket section, leaning forward and about 1” to far back at the bolt hole.
Drilled out the spot welds and relocated to the correct spot. Sectioned in the correct shock bolt hole. Fit and ready to burn in.
We will build it if it comes.jpParticipantJanuary 17, 2019 at 9:25 amPost count: 232
Nice work Pat! Lots of people would’ve just left it, but that’s a nice fix and ‘good to know’ for the rest of us 🙂AndymParticipantJanuary 19, 2019 at 4:25 pmPost count: 896

Not sure about huge daily steps… but I did finish the drivers side rear body mount over the weekend.
We will build it if it comes.John JonesKeymasterJanuary 22, 2019 at 7:25 amPost count: 5841
Looks great Pat…. Progress is progress.. Just keep at it… keep it moving forward.. I can’t wait to see Pat behind the wheel… He’s driven his current bug for like 20 years now!!!!JWDIIParticipantJanuary 22, 2019 at 7:43 amPost count: 374
Good work Pat! You like what you do, it shows in your work! Wish I had the same drive to get my projects moving faster. It seems this dang desk woops my 45 year old butt on the daily. Then when I get home my 7 year old boy finishes me off. I wouldn’t have it any other way though I’m blessed even in my mess!Pat KKeymasterJanuary 24, 2019 at 9:47 amPost count: 1126
Bit more done over the last couple days. Patched up the drivers rear quarter.
Fit bumper mount. Passenger-side will require the same work. Will need fit fenders and bumper before burning in bumper mounts.
We will build it if it comes.AndymParticipantFebruary 9, 2019 at 10:19 amPost count: 896
How’s your junk doing?

<p style=”text-align: right;”>Personal projects seem like they would be easy at kcw but truth is it’s not. Customers projects always take priority and after working 10+ hours to make 8 billable hours of pay it’s hard to keep pushing on your own. As you’ve all seen with Franz building his bus it took years.. not months as a customers would. It’s the “Friends” of kcw who show up on weekends who are the ones who really benefit the most from the shop. Good luck finishing your car Pat. It would cool seeing drive something nice</p>Pat KKeymasterMarch 4, 2019 at 12:53 pmPost count: 1126Pat KKeymasterMarch 4, 2019 at 3:44 pmPost count: 1126

^^ That is bullshit!!!!!!
KCW is what you make of it. Best part is JJ gives us the freedom to choose our own path at the shop. Some of our paths are shorter then others. Choices we make lead us down that path.

My friends…. You lucky guys!!!!!!!!! 😎 The hardest part is doing it…. I’m here to help you get to it!!!!! 😎68tintopParticipantMarch 4, 2019 at 8:49 pmPost count: 677
Hard to find better friends then at KCW. Accidents happen when you are having fun. Baja’s are made to be broke and fixed. DAMM I MISS MY RAGTOP🤪DarioParticipantMarch 5, 2019 at 7:13 amPost count: 433

Scoop up that one you showed me on samba ready to hit trails for the same price I’ll have spent when mines finished. I need to start looking at upgrading at least driver seat, I really like the ones in . Franzs BajaRustabusParticipantMarch 5, 2019 at 7:37 amPost count: 1698
Not to sidetrack this thread again but YES!! A 3G driver Baja is WAAAAAYV cheaper than a good 1G project!!!
