More of trying to figure out whats right and whats wrong with this thing. It seems like all the seams on the frame head, napolean hat, and bottom plat had seam sealer on them. Some of it just crusted off, but theres still quite a bit there. Is it normal to have it in those spots? I’ve seen some pics online of restored chassis and Ive seen some where it looks like they bead welded the edges of the frame head to the tunnel. Perhaps for strength? Wonder if thats a good idea or not.

Also found some in the corners where the frame horns meet the chassis. The snow is supposed to clear tonight and we’ve finally got 3 solid days of sun this weekend so Im hoping to get the chassis blasted and cleaned up.

Thanks! Thats what I was hoping! With finding so many things wrong with this car, Im having a hard time telling whats “right” and whats not in some cases…

You have lots of questions. We don’t need a thread for each. Let’s keep all info related to your build in one place please.

We will build it if it comes.

OK no worries. Initial thought was just to throw more specific things into the technical section in case they may help someone later. Kind of like the old tech threads used to have. But no worries, I will keep them all in the build thread.
