I’d love to do the Shasta Trip someday… but i”m a baby daddy now and time is never on my side anymore. Want to maybe do VWs on the Green or moab this year if you guys are planing those. I think next summer i’ll do some short Blue Mesa, Kebler pass or La Gartia trips with the bus. I don’t like driving to far these things break down all the time.

    LOL  😎

Getting this rig lifted up. It had a 3″ narrowed/adjustable beam. We’re going to unflip the splindles and crank it up.

Wren found a nice small nut transaxle on craigslist. I hope it works.

    Thats an amazing bus!

You’ll be stoked when you can get down that dirt road without worrying.

Almost there. Spindles unflipped, and beam adjusters slotted for max lift. Its going to be rad. The narrowed beam is actually going to help with tire clearance and wheel travel.

Strait monster trucking. 23 degrees on the spring plates, with about 1.5″ of sag.

The front end is all the way up. I think it’ll settle in after a little driving…. I do like the front end slightly higher than the rear on a lifted bus. Promotes strait steering and small bump sensitivity.

Dang Wren that looks good!  Ive been considering the same thing, however after looking at yours I doubt I would be able to get in my garage.

Its SOOOOO BIG! Should be great! Had a good time the last couple days hanging out in the shop. Franz has been working on my buses since we where 16 years old. Love that I can still get him to help me. Thanks Franz! I was worried about the same thing Doug. I have only one spot to store the bus and was afraid it would not fit. I think it seems bigger than it is cause I’m so use to driving it slammed. It feels like a new bus.
