Even driving the wheels off this thing…everywhere I go is in the bus👌 Working on my zBed last few days. Aluminum frame bolts down to factory T bolts in floor and I put 2 M8 nutcerts up top of engine bay floor to tie in backrest. We built some recline into it and the 5”memory foam is so comfy! My momma is going to upholster the 3 cushions in more of the electric orange vinyl haha. Baltic birch ply stained to match Uber kombi strips will skin the front in aluminum and paint it commercial grey and make a mini cabinet in the void by cargo door. oh ya cut and stained some maple strips to cover the roof seams, think I’ll cut more for inside of gutter rail….almost there. Installed jailbars like an early ambulance cause I like the look.

Nice Job!, what is the support made out of when the bed is pulled out, Aluminum? That is a nicely done Z bed setup, do you still have the dimensions on it? I am trying to figure this plan out currently for my bus i’m working on.

Thanks👊 We didn’t know what year westy brackets jrod used for his bed (this is the second one) took me buying 3 sets to find right geometry! Yes supports are aluminum. Built some recline into it when in seat position factory was straight up and down.

Dimentioms? Mine fits a double bed mattress. 52.5×74” I think I’m gonna make an extension for the drivers side 6-8” so my feet don’t Dingle dangle off the end. Jesse wanted measurements too……I don’t have blueprints so to speak……each bus is a bit different, best to build to your bus, mine and jrods were 1/4” diff in the wheel tub area

Oil leak, fuckin oil leak! Ya turns out it was a hairline crack in the top of the case. Finally saw it weeping just in front of the fan shroud after putting the motor back in for the 4th time. Cleaned it up and jb welded (great name that shit has!) been holding fine so far.

Dragged my 55 home (in the pissing rain) today! Has been in storage almost 2 yrs….happy to see it again, plan is to build a new motor this winter 🤘🤘cam swap and maybe a few other minor changes….think I’m gonna swap to T bars😎 really cal look it up

So much energy and time went in to building that car..  What a killer ride… I am sure you can’t wait to drive it again…   Those carbs… Big Man shit!!! 😎

I really want to drag Franz up there next time we go… He watches Whistler bike video’s daily…  I think it would be awesome to see him get to ride up there!!!!!  It would be fun to hang there for a few days and party!!!!!!  😎
