Hi guys, need a little help! Barndoor rear torsion bars

Someone cut out my BD torsion housing out, I welded in a new one but I don’t have BD torsion bars.  What else can I use?

Bug ones fit (outer) but then the spring plate doesn’t fit.  Any advice or words?  Ideally I would like to buy 2 barndoor or early bug? torsion bars.

cut down some early bus bars..  5/8″ off one side, 1/2″ off the shorter side… that’s how we used to narrow early bus to accept short axle trans when slamming….  😎

Also, these look tough to cut, how did you guys do it?  Cutting wheel?

Yeah on cutting the late bus shorter to fit BD. They ride better too. Smaller diameter.

3″ 90 die grinder cut off wheel? +lots of time.
