1- white lightening- lift and fix -its almost camping season
2- baja bug – because its almost camping season – install your new engine
3- truck- cause you need to haul shit
5- bankshot – so that we can race later this summer
6- porsche – so that you can hang-out with the 356 guys who are driving through GJ and Durango for the west coast hoilday in Tucson this year.
That seems like a whole year of work right there
7- thing – its a late model -sell to Dawson unfixed so that he can spend a bunch of money and ruin it with a subi
8- buggy – who cares -let it sit another year.volksaddictParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 8:44 amPost count: 620
Pick one. Focus. Go on to the next.FranzKeymasterFebruary 26, 2019 at 8:57 amPost count: 3627
Old cars will be obsolete in the near future with the popularity if electric and autonomous vehicles.
…And I would guess that more than half of all remaining vintage cars have been ruined with customizing…..the only ones that will retain value in the future will be the original/survivor/perfect resto types….Its already happening.
Nobody cares about that bodydropped tubbed mini-truck POS with broken suspension that you and your homies built.WrenParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:02 amPost count: 168
God, that’s a good list. I’d work on those two buses! I might be interested in buying that Thing this summer if you decide to sell it. I’ve always wanted a thing and have never had one. Need to fix up my bus first. Keep me in mind if you decide to sell it.FranzKeymasterFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:05 amPost count: 3627
A thing was almost your first VW. I remember that.
Didn’t you drive it home and Rags made you take it back?WrenParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:22 amPost count: 168
Yeah it had some sort of engine issue. I still give my father shit for that. I paid like $800 for it and it came with a new top, extra hood, extra fenders. OG paint. It looked just like Rustys.ColeBModeratorFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:23 amPost count: 1637
Lift up white lighting! Id say thats the best idea on that list. You’ve got the parts. Lets go camping.
Id sell some stuff too, you’re only one guy, you can’t drive all of these at once. Hard to keep up a large fleet to always be ready to rock. I think having the sc, white lightning and your Baja ready to go would be the most fun. More camping/outdoors=happiness.RustabusParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:24 amPost count: 1964
Rags? I got the Thing in Cortez like 15 years ago!! Franz’s List just about matches what I was thinking!!! 🙂lowlifechrisParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:43 amPost count: 62

#7 on the list is awesome right idea Franz
How bout the 58 single cab rusty without the subie lets keep it stock or the 53 works for me I don’t need sand in my crack from a swap.Baja MarkParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 3:27 pmPost count: 449
Franz’s list sounds right. Apart from number 4 🤔🤪
maybe number 4 is sell your Sportsmobile to an English guy, as you’ve lifted white lightning and don’t need another stock height white bus?!?! 😁RustabusParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 7:23 pmPost count: 1964
Heh, I only mentioned drivers, not projects 😉 😉 🙂FranzKeymasterFebruary 26, 2019 at 7:29 pmPost count: 3627
#4 is for the project that Rusty hasn’t bought yet. 😆AndymParticipantFebruary 26, 2019 at 8:22 pmPost count: 935
hoarding them because value doesn’t mean much if you don’t sell em…

My list; 1. Fix “White Lightening” with a lift back to stock height. 2. Keep “Blue Thunder” lowered and ready to tow “un-needed” projects to new owners. 3. Keep the Porsche to be buried in. That’s enough work to keep anyone busy for years with just maintaining them.
I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.
