    Yeah, 3000 grit to knock the oxidation off of the OG paint….On the blends I started with 1500 grit, then 2000, and 3000. Finished with the wool pad on a 7” buffer. 3m extra cut compound and low speed.👍

    The original engine arrived back from Painter’s Grinding. Thanks again guys! Time to put it all back together.

    I’ll start with polishing paint. So that the engine doesn’t get dirty.

    Simple green wash to knock the bad oxidation off, and 3000 wet sanded to prep for buffing. I have 80% of the car sanded here….Wool polish coming up.

    Finished sanding the og paint today, then started buffing…Roof, cowl, hood fully polished. The color is much more vibrant.
