been busy shoveling snow. I had a friend help me shovel off the roof yesterday at my place and after we got the engine ready for install. Need to get the pedal cluster in too.

Had to shovel 4ft off the roof of the garage dormer. not too bad. Then I had to do the same with the shed out back. All good now

did a bunch of work on the 65 kombi.

First thing we did was get my cargo doors to close. Once upon a time this bus was moved w a fork lift and they tweaked the roof line in the process. Rusty and Robert pulled it back into place and the doors close and don’t rattle !

next was the heat tube. We kicked that off first thing Monday morning. John guided me as I cut out the old cross brace and fit the new. We had that buttoned up by noon! While John welded the cross brace in, I went ahead and torqued my heads. Holy shit! They were loose! All tight now!

we were off to roosters. After lunch we tackled Rusty’s heads and valves. Then Robert and I dug out some decent headlight buckets and pulled the glass out of mine. Working good now after a new ground and some adjusting :

Also changes the oil and adjusted brakes.

Hell yea. I wish it was the weekend I would come down and party. I am headed down Wednesday night for a concert at Mesa theater at 7.  Friends son band is opening maybe I will have time to stop by. Come if u want guys
