So… this happened today. Emilee drove from salt lake to pick me up. We were going to do some climbing on the way home before she has to work on Tuesday. She said her bus ran great all the way to junction, but as she rolled in we noticed a good about of oil coming from the bell housing. Main seal. We pulled the motor and are waiting to get a couple seals tomorrow before we can slap the motor back in and cruise home. Hopefully we can find the parts tomorrow… ha
but there is is no better place in the world to have VW problems. Friends, food, shit talking and a bed! So much hospitality at hotel KCW.
We also took advantage of having the bus at kcw and installed a new battery tray, adjusted her brakes and e brake and tried to tie up any loose ends we have been chasing. Lots of fun! Thanks for all be help today guys

we had an awesome drive yesterday! We camped near Price and her bus ran great! Beautiful camp spot. We woke up this morning and her bus wouldn’t start. Checked her points and they were really tight. Again. Weird. Adjusted those and were on our way. Super happy on the way home. But we got back into town and her bus was leaking oil out of the bell housing a bit again and out of maybe around the pulley? The fan was flinging a little bit around. Not a lot of oil. She was like 1/2 of a quart low when we got home. But it was dripping enough to worry about…. don’t know what’s up.
