Pete pete Pete I ain’t afraid to harp on a engine that leaks a little oil…if your VW ain’t leaking it’s probably out of oil haha
Our local dealer Victoria Volkswagen (formerly speedwayVw) is great, Chris use to work at BowWow and now runs a vintage division of parts for us locals it’s rad.
My back is all fucked, Johnny and his kids came down to lend hands, had the motor out and back in in an hour sealed back up with the correct seals….me passing tools, thx boys.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Anytime buddy, what goes around comes around. Can’t wait to do a couple torque pulls beside you this weekend, what a crazy cool bus.</p>

You’re preaching to the choir on the “leaks a little oil” bit….I’ve come to accept that a certain amount of oil “vapor” will always be present. If the dipstick level isn’t dropping with regular use, then…..
🙂 🙂
Engine out, shroud pulled, sealed, and back in all in one hour is impressive. Nice job Josh/Johnny!
Well that sucks. When you’re ready to tackle it again put some UV dye in your oil, then run it with the shroud off and use a black light to pinpoint the leak source. Hope it’s not a crack.
