Bet they are having a Blast!!!! I did a quick two day camp at Vallecito reservoir this weekend, White Lightning is at KCW for some love and I bought my wife a paddle boat for her Birthday so I loaded up the Single Cab instead and headed out!! Boat fits in the back of the Single perfectly!! 🙂 No photos! Must have been having fun!!!

Those are some fun/scary jeep trails above Silverton. My car lost power at about 13,000 feet. I couldn’t keep momentum around the steep switchbacks.

I need to build my next engine for altitude. A little higher compression ratio, small cam, and maybe Mexican beetle fuel injection? Or just go Subaru? 🙂

GREAT weekend! We’re heading home now, but here are a few pics!!! Unbelievable back country!!!! The Baja kicked ass over Hurricane Pass, and then over California Pass before descending into Animas Forks! We were in traile for 4.5 hours yesterday, late lunch in Silverton!

That shit was unreal!!!!!!!  I dunno what to say…. My baja kicks fucking ass… 😎    I am so proud of my shit!!!

The water up there was so clear it was almost blue… it tasted like bottled water!!!! 😎  You gotta see this shit.. You gotta get up there and experience it.. I love those San Juans!!!!!!  I wanna go get lost in there for a few weeks.. 😎

OK, now that we are home, maybe I can get a few more pics to post… I think I was intermittently losing signal on the way home…. You can’t capture the beauty we saw, nor the fun we had! Friends, families, VW’s, fresh air, riverside campsite, guitar playing and more…. So glad so many people could come!  We had 5 groups night one, then 4 on night two… Franz & Holden,  Jesse and Family, and LeeAnn & Wayne had to leave Monday morning, but around dinner time, Bubba and Chris pulled into their spots! Chris is 4 months into a 24 month journey around North and South America with his traveling companion 1 year old puppy, Zeus!

Had such an amazing fun weekend. We got home late last night and they only downfall was the 102 degree heat thru Moab area. That was a fun sucker. Can’t wait to do it again. Thank you for the hospitality, thank you for breakfast, most of all….thank you for the fun memories
