Hey! This grungy ass driver showered once this Shasta! Unlike last year! So I was pretty clean when I got home;) hahaha
I made it back to Washington a couple days ago! dropped Seth off in SLC. Had to do a valve adjust and re organize the bus after a disorganized bomb went off in the whirlwind of Shasta. Then waited for the snow and went north. In classic SST style for me, my last day of driving is soooo heinous! Haha last year I got stuck in a ice storm on I90 and had to go 25 mph for the last 4 hrs of driving into Spokane. This year I got caught in a polar vortex! Haha I left the day I did because there was a break in snow. But what I didn’t realize was it was supposed to be a low of like 7 degrees! I got to boise with no trouble(other than a leaking valve cover gasket) and planned to stop in McCall ID for the night. But I got up there around 7pm and it was already soooo cold. Made the decision to drive down the next hill into Lewiston where it was only supposed to be 20 degrees haha. But it started to snow in Lewiston and I was only 3 or 4hrs from home… so I made the push all the way home! (And I was all jacked up on Mtn dew;)!!!hahahs) It got COLD around midnight. My heat was not working. I think my thermostat closed up again because my motor was getting so cold. Mr buddy cranking next to me all night. And I put all my layers on and was still shivering. Got home and “surprised” Emilee haha she was so scared. We live out in the woods and didn’t like someone rolling up at like 1 am and then knocking on the window by the bed to get her to open the door haha. When I got in bed I looked at the weather app and the “feels like” temperature was -1…. so cold. Glad I was able to make it home and sleep in a warm bed!
I ended up doing about 800 miles that day. Big push for me! I think the biggest push I’ve done in a bus in one day. And I did it alone. My bus ran like a champ all of Shasta! I need to do the math on how many miles I had total for sst. But I’ll post that on the sst thread!
Also helped this guy before boise haha was pushing his bike and I had just seen a “no exit for 15 miles sign” haha he was psyched for a bit of gas! I would hate to push my bike that far haha
Got the bus out today! Been a little while. We had a break in the 110. Only 95 today! So felt like spring haha. Nice Saturday morning cruise
