Thanks JJ! Been a lot of fun logging lots of miles the last couple weeks! All is well. I had a GREAT week/weekend and I had a good drive back home yesterday. Decided to go through Durango and up to naturita and then gateway and drop down into junction that way. Not as pretty as red mountain pass, but still a beautiful part of Colorado. D8018394-4FD5-4E6A-8819-E8BDDD06418AF14B71FE-DD4A-4D03-A685-DB8CA0FE70503C27E9ED-067C-47D6-893F-BF57261636EE

Ya! They looked cool. Looks like they have some routes already around there. I need to see if anyone I know has climbed on them before 👍🏼 Enjoy the book

I ordered some fancy thermal conductive silicone. Thinking the sump can be directly glued to the case…no paper gasket.

Glad you didn’t go the Telluride way home!!! This is the little pebble that fell from the cliff outside of Dolores and helped to destroy the road!!!!! 😬

^^The department of transportation decided to build the road around the rock and name it memorial monument because it came tumbling down on Memorial Day.

I found some time to weld on our sump-cooler project today. Getting in the groove and flowing aluminum is fun.

They have almost 15 feet of 7/8 x .120 aluminum tubing in each one.  Two of the tubes are directly of top to the oil pick-up screen.

4850884F-A4F7-4084-8BB9-38FE531C6F66Pulled my carbs off today. My bus ran great all fall. Cool as a cucumber with the new QUART9 sump. But then it started bogging badly and won’t start for shit and is backfiring a lot… so I don’t know what’s up. Gonna start at the carbs…. don’t really know what’s up. Adjusted valves/points/timed and checked for exhaust/intake leaks. All seems normal… weird.

good points. I’ll have to hook a gauge up to my fuel pump and see how much pressure it’s pushing. I’m not using electronic ignition. Do you mean maybe my points are bad/not making good connection?

Hard to say what you have going on. You’ll figure it out I am sure.

I’ve had electronic ignition do some weird backfire type stuff when they fail. Condensors can do weird things too.
