    Cole has been taking temperature reading during long interstate type drives….On the case and heads with an infared gun. From months ago before it had an oil sump or type IV cooler.

    The quantity of the oil helps no doubt…but I also think having the sump in good airflow is key.

    We’ll see what the difference is soon enough. Rebuilding the engine in the middle of the tests was not planned. Worn-out 1914cc stock carb VS. fresh 1914cc w/dual carbs. Similar heads, compression ratio, and cam.

    Holy smokes! Nine quarts! A little over kill for a 1600 maybe? Don’t you also have the type4 oil cooler and air intake venture? I’m curious to see what your oil temps will be.

    I’m curious to see what your oil temps will be.

    Hopefully at least 212*F to rid the oil of moisture.

    Those things look so sturdy I think you could slam it and it would hurt whatever you smack it into more than it would damage the cooler

    A9380AD6-582C-4097-9D15-2BF9D291313FWell…. I’m back. Time for my 1000 mile service on the new engine. I put 960 miles on my bus since last Monday. So I dropped oil, adjusted points, valves, timing. And cleaned my engine bay out… lots of dust from this weekend👍🏼 Oh ya. And added 9 new quarts of oil. Still in shock by how much it takes. Should be a happy bus for adventures this weekend.

    Sumps are looking better and better!!!!!!!!  Cole has been doing some good road testing wth his!!!!  I’m impressed..  😎  Good job Kid!

    Fun weekend with Cole.. I really enjoy riding 2 wheelers with ya!!!  Thanks for coming out and hanging with us OLD FOLKS…. 😎
