Your gaining priceless knowledge from that guy up there. Keep it up,
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
I wish all motors were as easy to pull out and in as no rear bumper barndoors…..
Pretty nice having all that room to work in there too!
Back in Spokane. Tearing a motor and trans out of a speedster. Luckily it’s getting a new motor and trans in. The car wouldn’t drive. Started right up, but no response or noise from the trans. Thought it had maybe stripped the splines on an axle or something… but after pulling the drain plug, I think I know what happened… haha that’s the spider gear shaft pin…. I bet the diff blew up. Going to be some fun pictures once I tear the gearbox down more! Haha if you look close I bet you could see a part number;)
all the fun you get to have!!!! 😎

Crunchy! Are you going to be able to save the ring and pinion?
It will go in the core bank. It’s a 6 bolt ring gear. we will upgrade it to the stronger 12 bolt
Time to tin up the 2 liter twin plug. Checking and Bolting on these fresh 44’s. Going to make this motor scream!
Looking good Cole and Jack. Let’s see the twin plug mods.
Here is a shot of the underside of the heads. Small plugs underneath. One spark plug on each side of the dome of the pistons. So no fuel/air mixture can escape the spark!
we are doing a “black oxide” theme on this build since it is an early car. So trying to use a lot of black oxide and just black on stuff. Black oxide hardware, black air cleaners. I have the dual distributor housing out right now getting black anodized. Hopefully it will all look good.
Also, finally got brake bands for the transaxle that I’ve been waiting on for 3 weeks. That’ll be close to finished tonight.
Got the anodizing back. Looks sick!! Carbs on. Transaxle together. Just need to get the boots in tomorrow. Then I’ll finish the trans and install it back in the car! Getting close

Motor is broken in! Sounded good on the stand. Dropped that break-in oil out of it. Putting axle tubes on the trans and then it’ll be install time!
excuse the different color caps… my other light one is supposed to arrive this afternoon🙄
SOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
