It’s harder than you’d think… especially when I’m not around much. When I was down at KB’s for quarantine I basically worked a full time gig just working on his motorcycles and cars.

we did set up a big battery tender bank With like 25 stations that plugs into all the cars. That helps a lot. Most of the time it’s a dead battery that will mess up your cruise plans. But when I’m not there kb and my brothers cycle through driving things to and from work or to lunch etc. that helps keep gas from going bad (we also have ethanol free in everything which helps) and helps us keep an eye on how everything is running.

I know Cole, believe me. batteries, fuel lines, pumps, carbs… That’s why I commented. Yes on ethanol free and stabil.

Thanks JJ! Haha but I don’t know about that. You’re the badass…!

im still waiting for parts… holiday and covid has slowed everything down… since I’m waiting I started in on this 2.4 build. It’ll actually be a 2.7. But originally came out of a 2.4 car.

I didn’t notice much noise during the test drive. But the customer is very persistent…. 🙃 I actually liked how it sounded. More like a race car haha. But I tore it down yesterday. Everything looks great. No wear on anything as I expected. Just going to quickly switch to another 2nd gear and it should be good to go back together  4B607A2C-BA6F-4766-9B06-852F929D0BAF

It sounds like you are working for Jesse? HAHA….He has a noisy transaxle too.  Its just the gear mesh like you are dealing with. But what else can you do except take everything apart?!

The motor/transaxe mounts can transmit a lot of noise too. That is the problem with Jesse’s … It has a solid nose cone mount.

Ya, the mounts seem fresh. Just a weird rare thing when the gears were cut together… I guess they just don’t like each other quite yet. The other problem is this thing has like 500 miles since it was restored… most Porsche people don’t drive their cars… so with only 500 miles the trans probably hasn’t even broken in yet! Takes a while for everything in the motor and trans to meet each other and start working together. Seems like around 2k miles?

but the customer wants it apart… so its apart… haha!
