Yeah that is a good one. The model should be marked on the base rest. Could be as early as 1915-1930.mtnbusParticipantSeptember 16, 2020 at 2:07 pmPost count: 1199

Model QL, cleaned up nice! Everything looks like it should work, put some lanterns on it, hope they are the right ones 😆
How do I light this bitch? Don’t I have to pump it or something 😆
Been following this thread for a while thinking “I need one of those”. Had one all along. Thanks Uncle!! 😛FranzKeymasterSeptember 18, 2020 at 9:57 pmPost count: 3716
The super old ones take a separate pump to push air in the little hole on the filler cap valve. You could probably use compressed shop air if you are careful not to over pressurize it.mtnbusParticipantSeptember 19, 2020 at 6:13 amPost count: 1199

Are the pumps available? Those mantles ok or are there smaller ones for the older lanterns?FranzKeymasterSeptember 19, 2020 at 9:23 amPost count: 3716
Use a torch to burn the mantles, and they’ll shrink.volksaddictParticipantSeptember 19, 2020 at 7:47 pmPost count: 640
