What I found with the glass is that while you want to leave the rubber as long as possible to account for shrinkage… 1/4″ too long can be the difference between the window fitting or not fitting.

Laid a bead of sealant in the grove for the pop top before installing the rubber. Also sealed the joint.8E22446E-9558-413E-84D9-610CFC59AAB34EC73D78-2361-4C05-8795-7FF03C5B9FC333C11295-746B-4704-9A34-5C741C4BE74F

Just finished getting the first window into the rubber.

There was a ton of corrosion on the mag case. I sandblasted it off. You’ll see some deep holes in the back of the bell housing. I should probably JB weld them to prevent any more decay.

Been sticking in Retro Sound today while Dad’s been working on the pop top. Cutting and sizing this stuff takes a bit of time!

Wipers: I’m still trying to pin one down. I’m trying to connect with west coast wipers out of Oregon for a restored one but I think the holiday is getting in the way. No response. I looked up bitty’s bit. Cool site out of the UK that has what we need but… they’re seasonal, closed completely until 5/1/22. 🙁

I’m going to give west coast wipers another try today. If I’m still not getting anywhere I’ll buy a used one off samba  and hope for the best.

Just to be clear are you looking for the 65 one year only or a 66 6 volt?
