Possibly a driver this week????
I’ll be tuned in lol
I had a few paint issues that I wasn’t happy with, so we sanded and repainted some this morning. 💯 now.
010 painted in fresh epoxy sealer, ready for cleaning and re assembly.
Distributor assembled and transaxle assembled w/short axles and tubes.
Transaxle going in, engine going together, and more Wolfsburg West goodies… new high quality front floor mat too.
Damm that looks great. I need to get one of those Matt’s for my bus. Maybe I will stop by tomorrow
The stance is looking much better. Remember its going to settle in an inch or two from here.
Engine stacked other than carbs and exhaust. I am opening the genuine 40mm Webers now…
Pat has been testing electrical this afternoon.
New bosch blue coil painted black and vintage sticker applied. Old style clamp with bosch stamp for good measure.
Original parts where it matters. Cool 105mm generator brush cover from restosam in Portugal.
this bus is looking gooooood !
Way to go KCW
Started my day stacking the last bits on the trans. Slipped the narrowed rear torsion bars in 1° lower then previously. Tucked that tire into the wheel well another 1” or so.
Sittin pretty!!!!
Wired the license light, new seal & bulb.
Hooked up the juice.
The wiper motor didn’t want to cooperate. Blew a few fuses to figure it out. Wiper motor is no good. I’ll pull it out tomorrow.
Franz is just about there with the motor. Break in tomorrow I believe.
Doug was here today. He wrapped the parcel tray and bulk head cap with platinum vinyl. He’ll be back tomorrow…🤞🤞🤞…to finish up the headliner.
We will build it if it comes.
Nice job. That’s a cool post…you guys are awesome.
Whoa!!!!! Massive Progress!!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Check and set float level to 13mm on these 2020 Webers. CB Performance manifold/linkage kit.
All the correct seals for the doghouse tin.
Simple vintage looking 1915cc ready to make some noise this morning.
Looks great! Excited to hear it come to life.
Everything is looking awesome… and were ready to hear some THUNDER!!! 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
It’s a runner. Draining the break-in oil now, doing a valve adjust/check, then I need to run it some more to tune the distributor advance curve. We have 30 degrees max adv. and 4 degrees at idle now… should be 10-12 at idle. Other than that it ran sweet. Responsive.
Finishing all kinds of stuff. Doug on headliner,Kendall looked at the wiper motor. Going to have to come up with something else. The motor is high amp draw/smoked.
