boom! Sounding great! Break in went well. Changed some idle jets and plug heat and it smoothed out nicely! Dropping break in oil now. I’ll probably install tomorrow. Hopefully testing this weekend! It’s go time!ColeBModeratorMay 30, 2021 at 7:28 pmPost count: 2197
Motor and trans back in! Button up time this week. Lots of miles. Seems happy so far!
still need to figure out oil line route. House of Hose isn’t open until Tuesday. Then I’ll get some made up and routed. Right now I have a filter bolted to the skid plate ladders. Rear Skid plate still off too. So I can monitor everything. So no crazy off-road for a few days. Made a 40 mile loop today and seemed happy. Got me home 😁 this car is badass!!!John JonesModeratorJune 1, 2021 at 9:13 amPost count: 7863

Sorry for being MIA. The last few weeks have been crazy! I didn’t think they could get crazier after leaving KCW. But it did… haha
supposed to ship June 30th. Until Monday. We received an email that they needed the car in 1 week just to make sure they had enough time to get it there with all the shipping issues lately! SHIT!
so I have been scrambling this week! Sunday we drove down 750 miles from Spokane to SLC with no issues other than a few tweaks of the points and timing. Ran great for us all day. LONG DAY. Then on Monday we got the news of the drop off change. Then it has all been a whirlwind! Motor seems happy now. Had a hell of a time getting the carbs happy at altitude. Seems happy now. I even got Franz to take a break from family vacation to come take a look at the carbs. Thanks Franz!!!
I have to swap a cv gasket that is leaking and then I’ll drive it all night tonight and all day tomorrow before loading it in the trailer to take to Long Beach. Rear skid back on too! Oh and the turn signal switch won’t signal right now… sooooo haha. Coming fast!
New lift!!! Big help this week.drove Spokane, Missoula, Salmon, Idaho falls, SLC. Pretty! Big passes too. Great for the 1000mile break in.Franz built valve covers. All pimped and back from powder coating!!!now it’s time to fit this(and more!) inside the little car. My snap on guy loves me this week 🤮🤑🤮🤑🤮

Whoops. This is why we needed to drive this car a lot before it ships. Even the small shit is hitting the fan! Haha need to glue the shift knob back on. And the turn signal switch just needed a good cleaning and lube. Now it’s all sorts of happyScott SainParticipantJune 12, 2021 at 11:51 amPost count: 329

Did final checks and look over yesterday. The car seems happy. I don’t think I would’ve ever felt ready to let it go… even if I had 2 more months with the car. But that’s how it goes. Showed an old friend the car yesterday and was able to put some more miles on it to run the tank empty. Only allowed 1/4 tank with shipping. So it’ll get a 1/4 tank of ethanol free since it’ll sit for a few months.FranzModeratorJune 13, 2021 at 11:59 amPost count: 4191
Excited for your race in 3 months. Packing and planning takes a massive amount of thought….and I’m sure you’ll have a list of things to change when you get back. Best of luck!
