Fit and figured out the spare tire hold-down strap. It doubles as a gas tank strap, And the force it applies is opposite of chassis impact force. Win.

Heavy duty eyelets could be used to lift the car.😉 I added some tabs in the corners for tie-downs. Jack stands are needed for maintenance on rest days.

Smuggler box tuned battery box. You can see the third mounting eyelet for the tire strap next to the rack/column.

I had to drop the steering rack to finish welding the spare tire strap eyelet and the bottom of a couple tubes.

While it was on the lift and taken apart, I did some prep for the skid plate mounting. The stock lower control arm support is weak. I cut them off and will replace with 1.5” tube that will bolt to the stock mount, with an extra bolt back to the bottom of the forward cage leg/plate.

I added some stitch welds to the stock mounts also.

Hell yeah. Doing the last bits.

Pedal to chassis reinforcement…the pedals are the lowest part behind the front suspension.

The factory welds at the bottom of the A pilar were poor. I re-welded across three pieces of sheet metal in the corner. Dressed a bunch of welds and added A pilar/body gussets to the cage.
