You are going to be so happy when this is done!  It’s gonna look amazing.  I find that I randomly poke my head in my garage just to look at my recently KCW restored Double Cab.

The most recent ones are halfway down this page:

I just went through the same experience you are going through.  I picked up my ride from KCW in late June of this year.

Thanks!  Clara makes interior panels for commercials (single & double cabs).  A lot of people say they’re really nice and very close to original equipment.  Here’s a link to her classified: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=948457

YEAH!  Great bus trips – there’s nothing like ’em.

As soon as you get behind the wheel – instant GOOD mood!

WOW – the Salton Sea area has changed BIG time since the 60s & 70s!

The California and Oregon coasts are PRIME bus tripping!

Started on driver side batt tray repairs this morning.  Too many pinholes and a 4 inch long rusty gap at the return seam. So out it came, along with the rear fender closing panel.

Welded and dressed a couple small holes in the pass side batt tray.FCC07EEF-8644-4901-A9F4-0D5A9CCE4A3B

Back on her feet ready for topside repairs.

We will build it if it comes.

Looking GOOD!!!  Not much metal work left!!!

Is there a “reinforcing plate” that goes over the notches in the cargo floor where the cargo door latch shafts go in?

I got the nose patch and cargo door rocker handled yesterday.  I was gonna move to the drivers side B pillar.. but… the pillar that came in was the wrong side… I might just make something… 😎
