Yeah – I knew the lower B pillar was hurting.
No big surprise that both rear outriggers/jack points were full of dirt and messed up – she’s logged a LOT of miles on dirt roads in Idaho.
Great news about the cargo floor – just that one little section.
BTW – really clever design on the body dolly, how the attached section allows you to get at the bottom!
That is an awesome story and trip. Can’t wait to see what the KCW guys do.
Finished dissection today. My condolences to the front outriggers and jack points, unfortunately we lost them to the battle. Top hats are good. Only small patches on the bulkhead.
Pass side.
Drivers side.
D-pillar lowers and corners only gave up small sections to the rust gods.
Inner valance lost a bit of skin as well. There’s something lurking just under the surface that is about to bust through.. imagine that… Rust!!!
Flipped her back upright, moved the rollover jig to the opp side to so down is up now for a better view while blasting. Out to the blast booth for a final abrasive cleaning.
We will build it if it comes.
Pretty solid. Not like a lot of the crusty ones you guys have tackled.

BRENT!!! about time for an update right??!!!???!??? I am usually better about it.. 😎 😎
I did some blasting I think on wednesday… Got all the top hats cleaned out and where we dissected metal… bottom side is clean clean clean!!! 😎 But.. I did not take any pics… 😎 Yesterday some of your metal came in… I think there is more on order, or, more that needs ordered…. We decided after that first order to cut out more… Then today I decided to get my head wrapped around your project again.. and decided to work on the rear corners… Got both D pillars repaired and sprayed some primer over the metal before I put the outer skin on… Or I should say… Fab up some metal to repair them corners 😎 we almost ordered the D’s and corners to cut up.. but they were like $500.. so we decided to make some shit… 😎 which is a hassle.. 😎 😎 but not the end of the world.. 😎

John – you da man!!!
Friday wasn’t all that awesome for me… I just wasn’t “into it” last week… But when Brent made that post… it all got better!!!! 😎 I enjoy new customers who are excited about their project and what we are doing to it… We have been working for previous customers pretty much constantly for years now…. and I think the excitement must get less and less with each project…..
Glad to have you aboard Brent!! and thanks for posting up… It’s honestly all part of the experience, The more excited the customers are… the more excited we are…. 😎
I’m gonna dig back in today… 😎

Been working on these rear corners…. I wanna get them the correct shape before I start welding the holes up and such… 😎
Got a care package from WW… As I fix them inner rear corners… I will hang the apron and decklid to make sure everything is right on!!!! 😎
Have a great day! 😎 😎

Thanks a BAZZILLION for the GREAT work, John!!!!
Spent ALL day massaging this corner… When it got bumped… the repair was harder to do with all the bus shit and grease and crud in your way… Now that I have good access to it… I hammered back over that tray lip and hammered things back where they should be. the whole corner was pushed in a bit… Welded some holes on the outer skin, scratched up a piece to weld in, ground some shit, replaced the hold downs on this OG battery tray!!!! I spent a little extra time here saving an original corner and battery tray.. But I say it was worth it!!!!! 😎
Brent.. Them 4 holes in the tray… You want them or not? Tape is marking the one’s in question… and I don’t think they were circled.. 😎
NEXT! 😎 I wanna get this side done before I quit today.. 😎 Cause today… I am outter here for 10 days… 😎
Retired 😎 😎
