Been fitting and weld prepped the driver’s side cargo floor structure. Started with the rocker, then moved to the rear top hat and outrigger, and ended with the front top hat and outrigger.
Today felt like playing with Legos. Putting pieces together to create a finished product. In this case, the structure of a cargo floor!Nice work fitting all those bits Riley…👍👍
Ive been working on the pass b pillar area.
Lower hinge had 2 broken screws, and there were a few rust holes up higher. Removed a few more inches from the outer b pillar.
Lower b pillar section fit and burned in. Higher up rusty spots patched up also.
Outer b pillar and closing panel sections fit as well.
We will build it if it comes.
Stayed late and rolled in early this morning.
Bulk head section, b pillar outer and closing panel mostly burned in.
Rattle can to help protect the inside.
We will build it if it comes.
Great work guys! Thank you for your solid work! Glad to see the metal going back.
FUCH yeah!!! This is a fun part of the build.. Lego’s!!!! I imagine Riley had a good time fitting all that metal… It really helps you understand how a bus is put together and it’s strength!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Fabricated a lower bulkhead patch for the driver’s side this morning.
Dad finished welding in the Lower B Pillar and bulkhead patch on the passenger side. After Riley knocked out the bulkhead patch fab he moved onto grinding repairs.
He also started fitting long side supports.
I burned in the rest of your cargo floor structure yesterday.
Started on the pass c pillar inner yesterday. Repair section was just shy of what was needed. Found a section in our stash and extended it a bit.
Finished up the inner this morning. Pass rear rocker next.
We will build it if it comes.
Hell yeah… That’s how it’s done!!! Knockign it out!!!!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Another good day on this rig.
Fit the intermediate cargo rocker, outer cargo rocker, and the rear lower section.
All burned in.
Pass rear fender well front closing panel section also checked off the list.
We will build it if it comes.
Damn! You guys are flying through this metal work.
This bus’ metal work is more straight forward than rigging everything to work for a shorty 😜
HELL YEAH! This bus was ripped down to the good parts FAST – and is now getting built back with that funky green metal just as quick! 👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻 Great work Pat and Riley 🤙🏼
Yeah, I learned my lesson. No rusty hacked up shit. I was offered another shorty truck that was as equally as bad as mine, probably worse actually. I did the responsible thing and said “no”. Not that I could afford it anyhow.
I was digging this bus when I was out there. I love the simple 11 window, single color buses.
Brendan, you are a lucky guy.
Lazy on the posts today sorry.
Driver b pillar and closing panel sections fit and burned in. Bulkhead section ready to weld.
Riley fit the last long side support section, knocked out grinding on the pass side, and is now prepping for new sections around the drivers rear corner area.
We will build it if it comes.
Cut out the driver side battery tray and mudflap earlier today. Cut part of the driver side D Pillar out as well. Forgot to take a picture, so I’ll snap one and throw it up on Friday. Dissected a chunk of the D pillar off the passenger side.
Pat Riley team is really doing great work these days! No fucking around!!
