Only put in half day on this yesterday. Got in early this morning and finished going over the front end. Welded up the antenna holes. Made sure all welding/grinding is complete.
All the nooks, crannies, seams came out great. Metal work is done up front!!!
Time for so backend love. Pass corner up first. Going to need to get a batt. tray ordered today.
We will build it if it comes.
Sorry Bo, we lost the pass. lower corner. Parts are on the way.
Drivers side had to be smacked around a good bit. Before
After a good beating!
Time to start working out the little stuff.
Just spoke with Bo. His vision is that of a well maintained OG driver. Lots of OG to work with here….😎
Quick buff to remove wire wheel marks form long side. Look at that shine…😛😛
We will build it if it comes.

I was thinking that right rear was a little too far gone to straighten.
Looks awesome Pat ! Bo, yer stoked !!
This bus is dam nice!!! Hard to find one this nice even in Cali!
It’s solid! The OG paint is amazing on the long panel and this seat is unreal. So survivor bus it is!!!
That’s an OG seat? WOW!!!!
Started pin work/pulling on the drivers corner Friday afternoon.
Working on pass corner this morning.
We will build it if it comes.
Pass corner needed a good bit of love. Had to do some push, pull, cut, weld, grind, but I got it back into shape.
Moved onto cargo doors. Rear hinge area was the worst. Pulled the door with a little help from the hot wrench.
Got the screw out, but lost the nut plate….😪😪 Nut plate cage must have broken when it was hit in the accident. I’ll dig into this first thing today.
Worked out the damaged in the short side as well as the rear cargo door.
I will have all the little spots worked out today. Hoping our WW order also arrives today so I can finish up metal work. If not onto bodywork where needed.
We will build it if it comes.
Pat, you have come up with some pretty inventive ways to pull dents. Admire your work dude!
I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.
Looks awesome Pat! Your knocking it out and making Bo a happy 21 window owner!!!!
Bo…. You better drop a check in the mail… Pats been kicking ass and we gotta keep the machine fed… 😎 I’m sure if you call up the shop and talk with Kendall he can tell ya how many hours and materials he has in things… Thanks… 😎
Did you guys order him some safari’s yet? Add $500 to that bill… and some WW metal….. 😎
Pat.. Thank you for manning the dirty shop for me!!! your kicking ass.. Thankyou for all the updates.. Thankyou… 😎
Proud and Stubborn 👍🏻
No problem. Will do.
Pat you’re killing this thing! Simply amazing to watch you bang this thing out.
Cut open the c-pillar from the backside. Fabed up a nut plate and got it all back together.
Gaps came out great!!
Smallest cargo floor patch I’ve ever done.
I see you have two engine lids. I felt like the one on the bus required less so I straightened it up and welded the cracks at the hinge mounts.
Also got the gas pedal mount in that arrived today.
Hatch damage is the last thing to work out I believe. Were you wanting to leave the stickers on? Paint the dash?
We will build it if it comes.
My favourite style of save/build keep up the good work Pat, that bus needed you bad!!!!!
awesome stuff
