Leaking windows… hahaha, so true.
Stoked to have this bus at KCW! Thanks for getting it in so quick. Little history on it. I bought it from the people who own Animas trading company in Durango. They bought it for their honeymoon in 1985. They toured all over with the dead until Jerry died in 1995. Then they put it away. It was in Teluride when the dead played there in 1987. They’re license plate is famous in some circles. It’s on a poster.
right on BO!!!!! 😎 I have this feeling, you and I were supposed to meet… we are gonna have some fun…. 😎 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Ya know Bo, a couple logos on that bus and it would be a tax writeoff, just sayin…
^^Jeffs got the idea !
this bus will be so badass
Glad to see Bo has joined us. Sorry I didn’t introduce myself when u came by, I was all up in Mikes DC.
Thats some pretty cool history on this bus. I feel like the more you know where your VW came from the more you care about it.
Headlight bucket support and nose work is on today’s list.
We will build it if it comes.
Pat you were banging out the DC! Thanks for jumping on this project so fast. I think Jeff has the right idea couple logos on the door and I’ll tell people I deliver pizza on it!
Decided to grind the front floor and finish up a-pillar seal channels first today. Headlight support bucket in.Dissected remaining nose from windshield surround underside.
I’ll dissect donor nose first thing in the morning. Front end will be all one piece again tomorrow.
We will build it if it comes.
OG paint matching nose skin donor? Badass Bo! I like your style 🤘
Jumped on this early today. Nose dissected. Sanded and then sprayed a little epoxy on the backside of headlight bucket support and valance as well as the nose.
We will build it if it comes.
Awesome! It hasn’t had a nose on it in 10 years! I bought the replacement for the headlight support because no one reproduced it back then. All OG German!!!
Got the front end fit and burned in yesterday. Came out great!! Time to dress up all the welds and make it pretty.
How much of this sweet patina are we keeping on the nose? Do you want it two toned like stock?
We will build it if it comes.
Best day ever! The nose on the 21 and powder day at Purg! The whole nose is getting painted. Thanks Pat
Nooooooo don’t paint the nose!!!!!! Looks money from here!
