Kevin Leake gave me this Swchwin Travler about a year ago. Finally got some new rims and rubber on it. Put maybe ten miles on it already. A bunch more coming as I get into riding shape.

Holy shit! Looks more like a high end golf course! Where in BC is that one Franz?

Josh, that bike park is just up the road from you in Naniamo. Steve Smith memorial bike park.

Damn. That’s one tall, ball-busting frame. What is it, a 62?

27″. I like it cause I don’t have to have a foot and a half seat post.

    Nice Ben.

State champs went well yesterday. We kind of screwed ourselves on bonus points. Some guys made sure they had all they could. For the results and number of races we did I’d say our stats are better.

Peet got 1st in the race and 2nd overall

Jonah got 1st in the race and 2nd overall. Missed overall 1st by one point.

I got 3rd in the race and 3rd overall.

My kid Holden got 5th in the race and 5th overall

We all got state number plates. Thats cool, and will look good for next year.

OK Franz. What is the measurement on a bike frame that determines it’s size? I always thought it was from center of crank to top of seat post. If that’s the case, my Schwinn Traveler is only 25″.

Here are a couple Ebay links to the frames styles I was alluding to.

This looks pretty “bad ass’ too.

That panther looks sweet. But those old cruisers have terrible geometry compared to new MTB rigs.

If you want to build a retro looking fat bike. I suggest buying a used bike and cutting it up. Fabricate a new top tube to make it look different. Something like that…

Be on the look-out for a chromoly/steel fat bike. I couldn’t find much on our local craigslist. But I’ll keep my eye open.

This one is a good deal considering that it has the suspension fork.

    Here is a steel one.

This one is spec’d-out nice. All the good stuff.

Most MTB frame sizes are s-m-l-xl now days. The important part is the top tube length. The reach from the seat to the handle bars. You probably need something in the 24″ area. I’m 6’4″ and ride a large. Even though I should fit and XL, I feel better on the smaller bike.
