Finished all the little bits that make up the engine mounts. 1 1/8”x 1/8” with 45• cut on each end, and an aluminum insert with 45• cuts to accept the coned rubber anti vibration pieces. Now I just need to weld them up to the firewall mounts.

Not a lot new to update. Got the engine mounts done and threw on the engine just for giggles. Finished up center wing mounts yesterday. It’s coming along a little piece at a time.

Yea, you just flip it by hand. I stand behind the engine on the left side and flip the prop down with my left hand/arm. Got to get a new prop before I can run the engine any more. On tip is broke.

New job is four days in. I think they like me enough to keep me around! 🙂

We did. Had a great late lunch at Fudruckers, came home at John got after some engine work on his bus. Back on the road in the early AM.

Heat is right up there in the 100’s everyday. With the new company vehicle for work, I only drive the bus on evenings, and weekends. Way to hot for any enjoyable moto time. 🙂

Any updates for this? Would love to see some pictures. I’ve been telling a friend about your project Ben. He was an AF pilot for years and recently retired from flying commercial. Will and I have been trying to get him to come to BBB for years and he says he is going to go this year.

Been working on it pretty regular. Two to three hours every morning, but it gets to hot for much more. Got the empennage done. Going to make all the cable runs and tail brace wires. Then I can get the fuse powder coated.
