Ben could come up and do Moab with us, then do some riding in the Moab area!!! I know there has to be some awesome trials stuff in moab!!!   Come on over to Junction and help weld together a Shorty… We could put you on the KCW payroll for a few weeks… We then all head up to Steam Boat with Ben and Travis!!!!!!!!!    This sounds like a possible plan here… 😎

I know some really good trials riding spots around here in Grand Junction.. there are some hidden gems within 20 minutes of GJ in all directions.. I am more than semi retired with competing. I competed in trials for damn… 36 years… and.. i stopped competing a few years ago. Now i just keep up my skills for exercise and to help with my other motorcycle passion, technical single track enduro.. That is a blast!  I haven’t ridden in Moab in years.. it starting getting not so trials friendly a while ago, not sure if they have let up on it or not.  I heard GJ is getting a speedway track hear too.. how fun would that be??

Made a seat cover from leather. Tried my hand at tooling my own design. I pretty happy with the results.

I plan to be at KCW the 1st or 2nd June. Steamboat thing is 5th and 6th.

Oh hell yeah! I just dug out an old Ty250 from my bone yard to get ready. They just cancelled the first CHCA hill climb up on Monarch pass this weekend so I figure I now have time to try to resurrect this old Yamaha trials bike in time. It is super rough though! Somebody tried to convert it into a DT model so the exhaust sticks way out and the tank and seat are all wrong.  Has a snowmobile carburetor. First I need to get spark. It will be cool to compete on it instead of the super trick Bultaco that is normally lent to me. For the motocross Sunday I will get to race a sweet BSA B50 late great Dick Man framer. I am so stoked! Some good camping and old dirt bike action. We can all go up a day early if you guys want to camp at my parents ranch on the Yampa river.

I can’t wait! I had a baby blue ’77 TY250 back in the day. Keep looking for one to restore.
