This might sound stupid… kept looking at your pic of the swingarm… for any chance did it came to your mind to find an alum swingarm  that might be lighter?

by the way what is Steamboat? is that a meet you guys have?  by the way where are you guys located in arizona?

I had a Matador briefly. Loads of torque compared to the Jap M/C’s. But I wasn’t fast or competitive in motocross, that’s why I ended up in trials.

Guy could make an aluminum swing arm, but I don’t know of any that would fit.
Steamboat is a ski town in Colorado. They have an annual vintage bike weekend of m/c racing and a trials.
I’m in Tucson.

Hey Ben this might sound like a stupid question.. when you took the frame apart and before cutting swing arm  did yat any time you looked at replacing the swingarm with a vintage aluminum one?

another question Steamboat?  is that the area they have a restaurant /bar that at the bar have like horse saddles to sit on?  trying to locate myself in the area…  so they have some motorcycle event in that area? and I do apologize if this is the wrong place to ask questions like this…

Ben what kind of paint you use for the frame??   The Bultaco I painted last year is use white appliance epoxy paint… they say not for outside use… but the bike spend more time inside than outside…:-) and seems to turn pretty hard….

will google the place in Colorado… the only ” steamboat ” i knew was in Arizona…

When you mention Guy he could build a swingarm… is thats your friend is building your triple clamps?

So in Vegas on the 28th… If i had one like this one as a spare  I’ll be hacking mine that frame of mine!!!!! shit might still do it…

Way2Cool  I thought Australians and folks from New Zealand the standard issue rifle for infantry  was the FAL   but dont know if  in your MOS the issue something else…

myself .. Im left handed  love the FAL !!  to the point even convert one as a target rifle…

I’m just using Rustoleum spray paint. It’s easily removable.  At some point, when I get ready for engine mods, I might have it powder coated. Right now, I’m just using paint until I know I like the color combo

Back on the ground. Looking good for me, I like the blacked out rims. Put jack stands under the skid plate and stood on the pegs, the fit is perfect. Hope all my cables fit now. 🙂

The black rims really makes it like a totally different look .. like military or something like that! like the rear brake  lever with all the holes same with the side stand!
