What causes that to wear out?

Quality! Guy says good German bearings aren’t available anymore. Had nothing to do with super diff.

Ben here are 2 of the key pieces. I’ll send you the stainless bends and tube when your ready https://m.ebay.com/itm/Magnaflow-14210-Performance-Muffler-2-5-Offset-Offset-Same-End-5x8x14-Oval/322307586541?epid=235634606&hash=item4b0b0779ed:g:xF0AAOSww9xZDd7I https://m.ebay.com/itm/06-07-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-Turbo-Exhaust-Manifold-Header-OEM/182904929577?hash=item2a95fbbd29:g:mIYAAOSwY~1aDbeP%5B/quote%5D

To be clear, you want me to go ahead and purchase these items? That would cut down the size and weight of a package from you.

shipping would suck on my end. No reason to ship the header twice. That’s the muffler i use, you want me to build that cross pipe? I can send you the stainless bends to complete it? Or you want it all welded? (Size will kill you in shipping)

Does that muffler come in non-stainless? If so, send me a link. I could just get regular pipe and bends here. I’ll go ahead and buy the manifold(ORDERED). I don’t really need stainless. I’ll just use some VHT exhaust paint.

The muffler housing is stainless, the ports are just steel. Buy that one.

Not yet. Just got the call from my transmission builder. It’s ready to pick up. So next Saturday. Can you make it down here by then? This old man could use a hand. 😎

Got my transmission home last night. Raining cat and dogs though, so I didn’t put any time into installing. I will get on it tonight.

My builder showed me the bad bearing. Says the most likely cause is wear from holding the clutch down for long periods. I’m extremely bad about holding the clutch in at stop lights. Going to have to change my habits. 😉 especially since I went to a heavier pressure plate too.  Other than that, trans was in perfect condition.

Got the engine surround all welded in last Sunday. time to get this beast back on the road and ready for BBB.

I agree 100%… If I’m not moving.. I’m not in gear and the clutch isn’t pushed in.. I think it’s extra wear on everything involved. 😉   I notice when I ride with my kids that they do it also… so my habit passed on.. 😉  😉  😉

Got the transmission back in last night. Tonight I’m ripping out the heater core from under back seat and moving it to the front. This weekend should see the motor back in and running. Hopefully….wifey wants to go car shopping! 😆

Header and muffler show up? Do I need to send you some bends? Or the flange off the header?

Yep. They were both here by Wednesday. Don’t worry about bends, I’ll pick some up here.

Engine is stabbed. Should be back on road real soon.
