It is fun, I agree with everyone of you. I yanked the air cooled off lastnight. Motor ran great, great little 1600. I don’t feel I’ve ever had a vw motor that rans as good at it does. Just not enough power.
I got a 2.5 subi already bolted on it. Shooting to have it back in action for this weekend, but if not oh well.
I found these guys, it’s all cut ready files. So I might just buy the file. $500 sounds like a lot but no way you could draw that up in 5 hours drawing time.

Rack done! 1”x.065 tubing. The sides and bottom I just made on the cnc table. It’s simple, hopefully hides the radiator somewhat. It’s bolted to the roof, so I hope it stays!!

Bubba sold me a Baja, I took it apart for the chassis, John has a full fendered 69 body. Between the two, I plan to scab a class 11 beater together.

Franz excited and working on his project at 1am!!!! 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎 😎
Should we start a Franz’s class 11 thread? Or maybe change the name of this thread… The Tabeguache trail definitely steered us more into offroad racing!!!PeteParticipantSeptember 24, 2022 at 6:45 amPost count: 1128

Franz, let me know if you don’t have enough body stuff. I still have two or three bug shells left in the stash.
