I got mu Subaru seats in today and mounted up my funky fenders. I think little Layla is ready to here this thing make some noise all ready…I’ve been playing with my baja. Take it out every weekend. This is where fun is at!! I got my first ride 2 years ago with JJ, franz, Dario and Tom, maybe Pat.. Locally around me there’s been a few guys who have bajas now!! Everyone needs a baja!
so here’s what I’m upto. Building a 6” wider beam for the front, with 4 adjusters, cut the torsions in 1/2. Making the beam tube supports also.
Got a radiator modified and laying on the roof, I still need to make the lower backwards scoop. Using -20 AN fittings. I’m going to make a roof rack to hold the radiator, mount some flood lights or a light bar on it. I got a fuel cell that’s going inside the car.
debating on if I should cut rest of the nose off for the fiberglass 1 piece now or later??
I need a pipe bender!!
Here’s my car. Time to cut the front body off and fit the 1 piece nose and big front skid plate just cuz I think those look cool. Maybe I’ll engine swap it next week.
this beam isn’t going to last long, just wanted to play with it and have fun jacking it up. I have an a arm set up drawn up, just need to get it onto the cnc table and cut it. Until then, it looks cool jacked up!
Took the Baja out again. It’s nice with the widen beam, keeping the tires off the body. The 31” super swampers kick ass in the mud, the car can dam near get through any mud. Hard to have this much fun in a street vw.
