Duane and I did the trail from Cactus Park to Dominguez Creek Campground about a week ago. The bus did great. Wasn’t a high speed run, just a creep and beer sipping speed.

Nice!!!  Been thinking about you old man… Glad your all ok!!! 😎 SAND DUNES!!! 😎

Badass pic. Looks like the same rail and guy.  What’s the story behind that?

    My favorite John Jones quote:

sanding sucks my balls and there is no need for any pics.. 😎

Dropped my Baja off when I picked up my camper. Frogger,/ Slimer/Snot Rocket is getting some love! Pretty much some electrical and fixing some broken brake stuff. Oh, did seem like my front drivers wheel had some camber???? 😉

Check this out! A guy we know opened up a taco shop in town called Switchback and really digs the Baja, he took photos of it and hung it front and center in his restaurant It’s like four foot by six foot!! 🙂

Pat and I (thanks Pat!) parted out the orange 73 yesterday and disassembled the engine for rebuild. It was ready.

I’m going fix the engine first…then think about moving all the parts to the black 73 project I posted a page earlier.

It was crunched all the way back to the shifter. I hit that ditch hard.

Lucky the only price I paid was a beat-up old car.

    Just like Eazy-E said:

“Throw it in the gutter and go buy another”

I wish I could build them as fast as they come apart.

Building parts for the new 73 Baja today. I hope to have this car together by spring…maybe we can do backroads to Moab for Ottinger’s tour or something…

Refreshed the old engine with a new set of bearings and a machined case. Going to be a 1914cc with 9:1 ish compression, Engle 110 cam advanced 4 degrees,  and strait cut cam gears.

I’m going with a link pin front end. Started with a OG needle bearing beam, added adjusters and Empi shock towers.

Gusseted 356 spindles, tool steel speedo insert, brass bushings, and link pins with lock nuts. The best super stock set-up.

Hell yeah!!! Franz’s last baja was just something he bought already done and rallied…. This is going to be  100%  #Franzbuilt!
