That’s all I need on your end. I’m sure I’ll have to run around town for this or that, but it’s common stuff from Napa.

Wow!!! Sorry I haven’t posted in so long… Huge thanks to everyone for working on and coordinating all of this once again!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I am SO excited!! It is looking awesome! I can’t wait to be driving a VW again! And damn, Vanagons are HUGE inside, so much room for activities! 😁😁

Thank you so much again Andy for coming to build my motor!! I am going to try my best to come to GJ that weekend to see you in person and make some homemade cookies for you! That’s my specialty…. 😉😁

The floor looks amazing!! 😍 And we talked to Doug today about the seats, which I think will look amazing too! Turquoise with tan stitching, with lots of pockets of course!!

If Camping is for Hippies, then I guess its official 😆…. according to my friends in Boulder my parents are hippies…. All I know is they are wayyy cooler than I am and I’m excited to be one step closer to their status 😎😎

You better take a look at the vanagon coolant expansion tank and hoses. Make sure you have everything to plumb it up.

Go westy and Rocky Mountain westy have all the conversion pieces. Let me know what you want me to order.

It all looks like 1.5” stuff. I have a bag of 1.5” stainless 45’s and 90’s to weld up whatever I need.

I plan on using a regular style radiator cap with an overflow.

Most of their stuff says out of stock?

Vanagon radiator doesnt have a cap. It has an plastic expansion tank mounted at the rear driver’s side with the pressurized cap on it, an overflow tank, a bunch of complex hoses, along with a accessory heater unit under the rear seat.

Lets make sure you have everything you need to make this thing drive….I don’t want to finish-up your mess….Been dong that with Peet’s projects for the last 7 weeks.

Take a look at the gowesty aluminum expansion tank designed to go on the passenger side. of the engine…easier to plumb for subaru.

Hey franz,  I plan on using, it’s inline and simple filler, But  I’m also going to send an expansion tank too. Figure having extras would be better. I can drill and tig weld ports into an expansion tank if that works better.

I appreciate your input and thought.

Im going to need some 1/4” steel to make my engine hanger cradle. And come for 1/4” for shortening the oil pan for ground clearance. And the plasma cutter.

Finishing this bus is my only project and goal. That’s what JJ is paying me to do.

I guess my question of your picture you posted, is that heater bypass already in the vanagon? Or do we need to buy that?

Yeah I’ll get you some pictures and stuff on the cooling system tomorrow.

Rmw makes a bolt on engine mount for vanagon to Subaru. We should just buy that?
