Feels more like a Bus with no heat!!!!;)

Exactly Rusty! Just giving me memories of my childhood!! I’ll survive! Plus Landon needs Volkswagen boot camp, and the engine is already “too” quiet plus the many other luxuries, so the lack of heat is good for him 😁

I have been checking on the oil and coolant Andy, but I’m glad you brought it up. Oil seems great- plenty in there! But the coolant keeps going low… I’ve added water like you said but it feels like it may be time to add coolent since I have to keep adding water…? Is it possible I’m doing something wrong that’s making it go low?

I bet it needs a set of head gaskets…. 8-(  Andy, I am feeling like I might want to fly your ass out here one more time… 😎

Well shits!! I’d soak up those miles we got on those headgaskets as free miles, we tried.. not bad for a junkyard motor pulled out on a Friday night.

Audrey if you feel you should dump coolant in it, just go buy green coolant consentrate. Don’t buy that 50% coolant 50% water mixed shit, that’s a rip off. Buy Consentrate!

Yeah im game to come out. We just need to pick a date.

Sounds good, I’ll go buy some of that. Thanks!

So Im gathering it’s ok to drive just need to really keep an eye on that coolant?

Sounds like corporate is working on coordinating dates, but I’ll be in town the 29-2 if that is an option…

yes! Make a trip out of it!! Telluride is one of our families favorite places!

Thank you for working on my van so much Andy!!

Audrey yeah just keep making sure that filler behind the lic. Plate is full.

Just an random idea, notice any water spots under it?? Maybe it’s just a hose clamp that needs tightened. If the oil looks like chocolate milk that would be a defiant sign of needing work. Otherwise I’m guessing it’s looseing some coolant on a hose clamp/connection.

have your boyfriend or brother take a screw driver to check for a loose clamp. Hell im sure you could do it Audrey.

Ok! I will definitely take a look tomorrow once the sun is out- I bet I can check it! I haven’t noticed spots, but I can double check.

I’ll also re-check the oil, but I am pretty sure it did not look like chocolate milk… looked normal, but very full.

Ok, so I’m guessing it’s just a loose clamp. You’ll only maybe be able to get a hair of a turn tighter, but that will make the difference. Give all of them you can access a slight turn.

If the oil looks like a chocolate milk is when we have a problem.

also try to check the coolant at the same time each time, if you check it when it’s hot “warm motor”  it will be different than if you check it when the motor is stone cold in the morning.

But keep driving it, sounds like your onto its habits. Not a big deal

    Just got done checking everything-

the oil definitely doesn’t look like chocolate milk, so that’s good!

I was able to tighten the clamp almost two turns around, so I’m thinking that was the problem!!

went to Napa and bought the coolant, came back and saw someone was thinking of me and put some under my seat! So now I have plenty just in case 😁

ill keep an eye on the coolant, but I’m hoping it was just that loose clamp!

Hahahaha…. that’s so funny….. I totally remember moving it in and out from under the seat, but did not put that into permanent memory🤣🤣🤣

    Nice work Audrey!!!!!!!!!!
