Not sure.. It’ll be hard to leave the notch parked with a fresh engine!
BTW… I’m on the lookout for some old school 90mm barrels. I have a good used set of 90mm pistons, just need barrels. My first VW engine was a 1756. I’d like to rebuild it for this car.
Started doing a bunch of rust repair on this thing. Before long the car was stripped apart and 2 gallons of zenith blue single stage “super wet look” was ordered. All the small shit is painted. Still working on the body, doors, fenders. No pics.
Played with some gas tank fab. Took an 80mm oval window filler neck and added a few inches to it, then welded it to an aftermarket 62-67 tank.
I’m collecting up a set of 944 spares. I have 3 so far. If anyone knows of a deal on one or two more, let me know.
Love your plans. Watching this one for progress.
nice gas cap…. 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Cool gas tank filler. Thats a subtle mod.
Got the engine finished for the RHD. Haven’t ran it yet though. Probably break it in next week. Took some inspiration from Franz’ and the 356 styling on his 36 horse engines.
