I agree Dario love this bug can’t wait to get it back on the road. Today we finished up the engine and swapped out and fitted the door. Franz ordered new door/window rubber seal set kit whatever so that’s the next thing to do I think. Or maybe install the tranny and engine. Regardless it’s another step forward and more progress. KCW is just awesome! Can’t wait to drive this!

Spent last night lovin on this. Installed starter, heat tubes, hooked up all cables, lines, and wiring on the bottom side.

Carbs, linkage, and wiring are all good to go in the engine bay. Trimmed and installed new rear engine tin.

Few more items to take care of. Should be ready for a test drive tomorrow!

We will build it if it comes.

Stopped by the shop to check things out bug looks great but Franz noticed some welding issues that might need to addressed, lol.

Whoops. New transaxle was a late model converted to swing axle. We installed the engine with the early clutch…the sleeve for the throw-out bearing was keeping the clutch pressed in. The car would not move. Easy fix tomorrow.

Fixed all the problems with the throwout bearing and pressure plate. Motor is back home. Carbs and a few more parts to hook up and then it’s time for burnouts!C9E6C917-91D6-4A71-9D44-B1CA405E132E

We will build it if it comes.

You da man Pat! Blow off all the cobwebs and take it for a couple of laps. Let me know what ya think. Take it home if you want it’s registered and insured. I’m camping, back Wednesday afternoon.
