He’s pretty awesome.. but hard to nail down….ย ๐
Been a wild ride, but it got me here ๐

Sounds like you guys are gonna have a good time! Jealous!
We decided to power wash the bottom side and cab area before we started assembling anything.ย
Scraped a bunch of glue off the steering box ย
Will start out tomorrow by unsticking brake pedal adjustment rod.ย
JJ send a bunch of 10 and knocked out a primer session.
Franz has been working on the beam.
We will build it if it comes.
Looks cleaner!
Did the White House paint come off?ย The OG paint is under there and that floor would be neat to see.
Tom said he was going to mess with stripping that interior paint.
Beam fully welded.
I think the early center pin housing provides a little more strength due to the uprights to the top beam tube…but I also noticed the bottom of the center pin has almost no support. I made a little gusset to go there.
beam is looking awesome.. Franz is putting Og bushings in it too… ๐
Pat is working on assembly!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here ๐
That was a job. ย But I was able to turn down the O.D. of the original phenolic bushings to fit the 2 1/4โ ย x .120 dom tube we used on the 3 1/4โ narrowed beam. This thing is badass. Super strait, fully tig welded, tons of caster built in.
Once I press fit the bushings in the tube. They were a little tight on the I.D. this big reamer saved me. Also, I tacked on the original beam number for style points.
Heh! How many shops could knock that out??!!?!?!? ๐
Franz gettin it done yesterday!
Installed all of the break hard lines and master yesterday.ย
Broken horn ground wire replaced. ย Missing wire from brake light switch to fuse block ran. ย Couple of other small wiring repairs and cleaning up connections.
Every weld along the clutch cable tube needed attention.ย
Ended my day by cleaning out cable tubes. YUCK!!!! What a messy job!
We will build it if it comes.
Here we go. Engine assembly day.
Pats been tidying up wiring and getting things ready for the “Big Assembly weekend”ย ๐ย ๐ย Franz is all over the engine!!! ๐
Been a wild ride, but it got me here ๐
Little tedious bits today.
Brake clevis didnโt come off easily. Broken pushrod and a little bent up.ย
Drilled and tapped brake clevis, saved it! ย Made up a new MC pushrod from an old case stud ย
More wiring repairs.
Cleaned all the critical areas of the tail lights and swabbed with dielectric grease so the energy will flow.
New batt. cables and wiring grommets in. ย All wiring connections repaired or cleaned.
Franz in action, getting shit done.
We will build it if it comes.
