The fab school and Jer-fab internship

Postby 66VOLKY » Fri Sep 30, 2016 8:29 pm

It's been a month since I've been in the fab school here in sunny California. It has been amazing experience! Day one they had us Mig welding. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ we just finished this week with tig welding and have begun our personal projects. Every days exciting! \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ more to come!!
I was lucky enough to find Jer-fab right down the road from my apartment. The owner Joe gave me an internship there and I have been building narrowed beams, air beams and we have even bag of 59 bug. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ it is a great place to work at and the quality of their craftsmanship is Top notch! I look forward to what's to come. =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/

That sounds awesome! I wish we had more fab classes in school. Everything we learn is how to measure stuff on cars ](*,)

Awesome Rene. I bet it's fun going to fab school. Spend as much time using the big/fancy/expensive tools as you can.

I thought jer fab was Jerry? Is he not part of the picture anymore?

I am pretty sure Jerry sold the business a few years ago and the new owner has been doing fairly well at building the business back up again. He is living in Manly Beach in Sydney these days, still playing with VW's, but doesn't seem to be running the business anymore. At least from what I can see.

Mike must have sold it to Joe?

I used to sell Mike bus center blocks.
