Sold the airframe. Kept the engine. Saving up for a kit to build a true ultra-light.

Could I take off on Kimball if I had one????

Uhhh, No. Smile

Not legal unless you can do it at night and don't get caught!

Ben ,have you looked at the legal eagle? It is a legal ultralight. It is powered by a half VW motor.
I sold my cessna 150 E , to buy my single cab.
I have been thinking about a ultralight.

Yep, totally legal except for national parks. Look up legal eagle XL on you tube. There is a guy built one, #94 I think. He has vids of flying all over monument Valley, Nevada, and some other spots.

Got everything back together. Heat works, but not very warm on my 10 mile commute to work. Maybe some 65mph on the highway will heat it up more. Frown These are after market heat boxes to. Don't think much of them.

Smells like pine needles and mouse urine to. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) Flushed that tube with hot water and soap, drug rags through it, and drug more rags through with Clorox. Didn't do any good. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) Picked up some Fabreze. I'll squirt that every 10 miles or so.

Should see you all Wednesday evening.

John, PM me Corporate's cell number so I can meet up when I get to Havasu.

Just taking a stab here, but I wonder if you could rig up a longer spray hose and run some Eastwood internal frame coating through your heat pipe to seal it up and lock down whatever is left lurking in there? :-k
Meh.

The boxes suck?...og or aftermarket flex hose from the heater box to the heat tubes?

After markets, the insulation is really restrictive.

Clean shop cuts a piece of wire window screen, rolls it up and slips it into the flex. It expands back open and compress the insulation against the outside of the flex and opens up the center for a lot more flow.
